Jeffrey Bede has led ORIX Ventures’ investment efforts in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast as well as within the clean technology sector since 2007. He has 19 years of successful investing and financial advisory experience, primarily in the technology sector, involving $2 billion of equity, debt, and M&A transactions across nearly 100 companies. Jeff is responsible for ORIX Ventures’ investments in BroadSoft (BSFT), Quench, Kaltura and Undertone, among others. Before joining ORIX, Jeff provided private equity and M&A advisory services at two boutique investment banks, Chessiecap Securities, where he headed the private placement and valuation practices, and Capital Run LLC, which he co-founded. He also worked in the technology and private placement groups of Prudential Securities, Volpe Brown Whelan & Company, and Dain Rauscher Wessels as well as at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Heitman JMB.
