Jeff MacDowell joined American Capital in April 2001 as a Principal in the Dallas office and was promoted to Managing Director in 2005. Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. MacDowell was Vice President - Finance and Corporate Development of Dynamex Inc., a publicly-traded same-day transportation company with $250 million in revenues. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. MacDowell was with BACE Industries, LLC, a private equity firm specializing in industry consolidations. During his tenure at BACE, Mr. MacDowell was Vice President of RentX Industries, Inc., an equipment rental industry consolidator. Prior to joining BACE, Mr. MacDowell was with Banque Paribas from 1991 to 1996 as a Vice President in the Merchant Banking Group where he focused on senior debt financings primarily for private equity sponsors.
