Jeryl was appointed CEO of Level 20, an initiative to attract more women to join and succeed in private equity, in October 2016. She has worked in the private equity industry for 30 years as a GP, an LP and an advisor. After completing an MBA at Cranfield School of Management she began her private equity career in 1987 at Abingworth Management, becoming a Director in 1993 before moving in 1997 to VenCap International, a fund of funds investing primarily in top tier US venture funds, where she was Director, Fund Investments. She returned to being a GP in 2002 as a partner at Advent Venture Partners latterly taking on responsibility for fundraising and investor relations. From 2010 she worked as an independent advisor to a range of private equity firms on fundraising strategies.
