Mr. Gillingham is Senior Vice President of Valero Energy Corporation responsible for Specialty Products and Petrochemicals. Previously, Mr. Gillingham was Senior Vice President of Alternative Fuels and Project Development and managed a variety of renewable fuels and energy projects for Valero, including acquisition and operations of 10 Midwest ethanol plants and the Diamond Green Diesel joint venture renewable diesel project with Darling International. In 2005, Mr. Gillingham served as Regional VP and managed Valero’s Port Arthur refinery. Mr. Gillingham was appointed the Western Regional VP of Refining Operations in 2002. Prior to Valero’s 2001 merger with Ultramar Diamond Shamrock (UDS), Mr. Gillingham was the Manager of Engineering, Director of Petrochemicals Development, and headed refinery operations at UDS’ Denver and McKee refineries. Mr. Gillingham received his BA and MChE degrees in chemical engineering from Rice University.
