Jiten armed himself with a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani followed by a Masters Degree in Manufacturing from the University of Massachusetts, USA with a clear vision to take his family’s automotive component manufacturing business to newer heights. That vision was again at play when he returned to India in 1990 to chart the company’s graduation from a components manufacturer to a solutions provider to OEMs in India and abroad. In 1995, Jiten inked a joint venture with BorgWarner, a USA based pioneering powertrain solutions provider, and Divgi Metalwares to form DivgiWarner Pvt. Ltd. Jiten was involved in the buy-out of the BorgWarner stake in the DivgiWarner JV and the renaming of the company to Divgi TorqTransfer Systems. Jiten remains the Managing Director of the new entity, Divgi-TTS. Jiten has interests in philosophy, art and music and reads extensively. In the spare time available to him, Jiten hones his tabla-playing skills.
