Joseph O. Serra began his career in the automotive industry in 1982, when he teamed up with his father to help grow the organization. Under his leadership, Al Serra Chevrolet grew into one of the largest volume Chevrolet dealerships in the nation. Joe was named Chief Operating Officer for Charlotte, North Carolina based Saturn Retail Enterprises in 1998. In January of 2000, Joe returned back to Michigan and purchased Serra Automotive from his father and several other shareholders. Today, Serra Automotive ranks among the top ten privately-held automotive groups in the nation and employs over 2,000 associates.
