When it comes to launching and positioning technology products and services, John Allen seems to possess the “Midas Touch.” During his eight-year tenure at Huntsville-based Intergraph Corporation, John was responsible for launching a new file-sharing product that would become the core of Intergraph’s Windows NT and Unix Integration strategy. By pioneering new distribution channels, John grew sales of this product from zero in 1994 to $12 million within three years. This technology was acquired by Microsoft in 1998. John began his Search Engine Optimization efforts while at Intergraph in 1997, breaking into full stride during the “dot com” boom.
