A quick backgrounder: • Built the direct-to-consumer consumer software biz for Softkey/The Learning Company from $16MM to $145M in 4 years, playing a key role in the acquisition of The Learning Company by Mattel for $3.8BB. And yes, Kevin O’Leary from the TV show Shark Tank was my boss. No pressure there! • After that, I led the turnaround of wine.com after the company rose a staggering $175MM then went into bankruptcy. We bought the URL and other assets for song and in less than 1 year moved the company from Portland to SF, did a complete re-org, and delivered both revenue growth and their first profitable quarter. Wine.com is now the amazon.com of the wine industry. • Then I founded and raised a Series A for a SaaS Social Media Analytics technology company, Andiamo Systems.
