John’s primary responsibilities at Greenphire include designing back-end functionality, both technology and processes, to support Greenphire’s commercialized technologies. He is also responsible for Greenphire’s financial operations and relationships with the major financial institutions which support Greenphire’s technologies, including MasterCard, Wells Fargo, Bancorp, FIS, and Citigroup. Prior to founding Greenphire, John was a Vice President in the Product Development group of Citigroup’s prepaid card division. In this capacity, John was responsible for designing and developing internal operational applications that supported client programs and significantly improved operational efficiency and security. Prior to working for Citigroup, John worked as a structural analyst for Pagnotta Engineering, a boutique engineering firm specializing in aerospace-related defense contracts.
