At Council Capital, John's responsibilities include sourcing and executing new investments, as well as portfolio company support. John serves as a board member or board observer for several of Council Capital's portfolio companies. Since joining Council Capital in 2008, he has been integrally involved in 25 equity financings with an aggregate value of $167 million. Prior to joining Council Capital, John worked in the Health Care Investment Banking Group at Raymond James in Nashville. At Raymond James, he was active in buy- and sell-side M&A advisory, as well as private placements and public equity offerings, playing key roles on 10 advisory engagements with an aggregate value of approximately $3.7 billion and three public equity offerings, including an IPO. During his tenure at Raymond James, he developed complex integrated financial models for clients and created board presentations for public and private companies to evaluate acquisitions and proposals.
