Ms. Gouw joined the Pasadena, California-based East West Bank in 1989 as vice president and controller. She was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer in 1994, and was appointed president and chief operating officer in 2009. She wasresponsible for East West Bank's administrative operations, including finance, treasury, investor relations, enterprise risk management, credit administration, deposit and loan operations, and information technology. Ms. Gouw retired from East West Bank in March 2016. East West Bank is a full-service commercial bank that offers business and personal banking services and is one of the largest financial institutions in the United States that focuses on the Chinese American community.
