Julien Kinic (Managing Partner) is a graduate of Edhec Business School (Lille, France) and holds a post graduate diploma from the London School of Economics (UK). He co-founded IDI EM in 2008 with Peter Bieliczky and IDI Group. His career began with six years at Arthur Andersen in Paris where he worked mainly in the field of mergers and acquisitions. Between 2000 and 2005 he became investment director of Cognetas (previously known as Electra Partners Europe), a pan-European fund specialized in LBO. At the beginning of 2006, he joined the Agence Française de Développement (AFD, Proparco), the arm of the French government dedicated to the financing of emerging and developing countries, contributing to the development of direct and indirect private equity investments. Julien holds numerous seats in funds governance bodies.
