Jussi Seppälä worked as an investment banker for more than 15 years in the UK and Finland. In 2014, I started my work in private equity and joined Sponsor as a partner. I became familiar with the start-up, development and growth of companies through my role as one of the founders of HLP Corporate Finance and also by following entrepreneurs within my family circles. While you can always come up with good plans, I’ve learned that making things happen without enthusiastic and skilful people is difficult. This is true regardless of whether it involves the multinational Goldman Sachs, which I worked for during the first years of my career, or a smaller company made up of only a few people. I spend my free time with my family and playing racket sports. I spent my formative years in Lahti and then continued my studies at the Helsinki School of Economics, from where I graduated in 1998.
