Kamaroopin was launched in 2018 as an investment manager focused on growth equity private investments. KMP was originally established as an affiliate of SK Tarpon, the successor of Tarpon Investimentos, an investment company founded in 2002 in Brazil. Pedro de Andrade Faria, KMP’s founder and managing partner is also one of the founding partners of Tarpon and was directly responsible for Tarpon’s private equity investments. In this new structure, Kamaroopin was created with the mission to be a company builder, investing and supporting founders to build long-lasting companies and delivering superior value creation to stakeholders. To accomplish this mission, KMP consolidated learning and experience from previous investment activity at Tarpon and started to deploy and consolidate a new investment approach to late-stage venture and growth equities.
