Karel is a Canadian entrepreneur and angel investor. He is currently the Co-Founder of Renaissance, a product studio working to bring greater choice and agency to education through bold experiments and disruptive products. Prior to Renaissance, Karel co-founded Treasure, a leading crypto project operating at the intersection of AI and entertainment. He was a Senior Associate and Chief of Staff at Sagard and Portage where he worked closely with Paul Desmarais III on special projects and across operations, investor relations, capital formation, marketing and communications, and more. Prior to Sagard, was the first employee at Diagram to launch a $30M venture builder and served as a founding member incubating portfolio companies, Dialogue (IPO - TSX:CARE; later acquired by Sun Life) and Collage (acquired by People Corporation).
