Katrin Suder

Katrin Suder is the Chair of the Supervisory Board of DHL. She previously worked at McKinsey & Company as a Senior Partner. Born in 1971, Dr. Katrin Suder has been appointed State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Defence on 1 August 2014. She is responsible for Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support as well as matters of the Planning Directorate. Before her appointment as State Secretary Katrin Suder worked for the consulting firm McKinsey & Company from 2000 to 2014. She headed various projects in Germany and abroad, notably in information and communications technology and the public sector and in the areas of strategy, IT/technology and transformation. Katrin Suder studied physics at RTHW Aachen University and at Jülich Research Centre from 1990 to 1996, earning the degree Diplom-Physikerin. She then went on to receive her doctoral degree in computational neuroscience (Dr. rer. nat.) at the Institute for Neural Computation of the Ruhr University Bochum, for her
