Kirsty McDonald

Kirsty joined GCP in 2012. She is a member of the investment committee and is involved in all aspects of the business including deal origination and execution, portfolio management and investor relations. She led GCP’s investments in Advanced Insulation, AMG and First Mile and currently sits on the Board of AMG and First Mile. She also led the Fund III investment into Scopus and was subsequently responsible for delivering the successful sale of the business to Amec Foster Wheeler. Prior to joining GCP, Kirsty spent five years at 3i, where she invested in fast-growing, private businesses. Previously, she was part of the Group Development team at Trinity Mirror plc, focused on corporate acquisitions, and prior to that, she was one of the founders of a London-based strategy consultancy, providing support to companies ranging from start-up to FTSE100.
