KR Sridhar, Ph.D., is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Bloom Energy Corporation, founded in 2001 to advance solid oxide fuel cell technology for on-site power generation. He has led Bloom’s evolution from a research-driven startup to a publicly traded energy company serving commercial, industrial, and utility-scale customers. Before Bloom Energy, Sridhar was Director of the Space Technologies Laboratory at the University of Arizona and a professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering, where he led NASA-related research—including systems designed to produce oxygen from the Martian atmosphere for future planetary missions.
