Laurens Verbeek has been active in the field of archive and information management since 1991. The first steps in the field were taken as a DIV employee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Captivated by the field, Laurens obtained his SODII diploma in 1992. He then joined Breddels & Vermeulen (a legal predecessor of Doxis Information Managers). In the period 1992 to 1998 he was active in various projects in the field of archive and information management within the national and municipal government; as an employee, researcher, (senior) consultant, project leader and interim manager. From 1998 to 2005, he was in charge of the Government Sector within Doxis / Ernst & Young. As a sector manager, he was responsible for 7 business units, each focused on specific products and services within the public sector.
