Luca Valerio Camerano was born in Rome in 1963. He graduated in Economics from LUISS (Rome) and He attended INSEAD Advanced Management Programme (Fontainebleau). He is currently Managing Director at Algebris Investments where he leads a new business unit dedicated to the environment and sustainability. He is also Indipendent Member of the COIMA ESG City Impact Fund, Business Angel for startup, and Professor at LUISS. In addition, he has the role of Senior Advisor for infrastructure, energy transition, circular economy and smart city. He has been the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of A2A S.p.A., Italy’s largest multi-utility company with more than 13,000 employees, a turnover of around 6 billion euros in 2017 and a Gross Operating Profit of more than 1 billion euros. During his mandate, A2A doubled its capitalization end tripled its net income.
