About
Joanne joined KSTC in January 1996 and among her current responsibilities is management of AdvanceKentucky, Kentucky's affiliate with the National Math and Science Initiative to accelerate access to and success in academically rigorous math and science courses in high school. Administrative responsibilities include support for corporate operations and ensuring the creative collaboration and efficiencies among Knowledge-Based Economic Programs managed by KSTC. She played a coordinating role in producing Kentucky's Science and Technology Strategy, a Cluster Analysis of Kentucky Industries, and the Entrepreneurial Policy Audit, which were central to implementation of the Kentucky Innovation Act. She is involved in other entrepreneurial initiatives such as the IdeaFestival® and EntreSchools®. She oversaw the Survey of Critical Technologies, which helps drive KSTC education initiatives to improve math and science education to focus on transformative, breakthrough strategies. Prior to KSTC,
