Todd Abner started his career with the U.S.’s largest accounting firm, Ernst & Young where he became a Senior Auditor and left to work for his largest client, Hospital Corporation of America. Mr. Abner held several management positions with HCA including co-founding and becoming the Chief Financial Officer for HealthTrust Purchasing Group, now the third largest group purchasing organization (GPO) in the country with purchasing volume of more than $30 billion. Mr. Abner’s reputation among the supplier community for his contribution to the creation and management of that organization is notable. During his tenure with HCA, Mr. Abner, along with his long-time business partner Ward Brown, co-founded empactHealth.com, a leading provider of business-to-business e-procurement solutions to the healthcare industry. As Vice President of Business Development, Mr. Abner engaged some of the world’s leading suppliers to participate in the e-commerce model and solved a significant inventory problem
