Madison Square Ventures LLC, based in the Madison Square Park area of the Flatiron District, is currently developing multiple websites and accompanying web applications focused on local content. Our portfolio is developed in-house, but we occasionally will acquire (or invest seed money in) promising early-stage web and mobile businesses. (Deal size $5,000-$100,000) The first site (launched in May 2013) is DogSpin.com to address the $1.5 Billion dog services industry in New York City, and will be followed up by the next great food app, Eatopia.com, in January 2014. Madison Square Ventures was founded in mid-2011 by Brian Scully, who was the former head of Marketing and Partner at PropertyShark.com (Successful sale to Yardi Systems Inc in 2010) as well as the former head of Marketing at UMT.com (Successful sale to Microsoft in 2006).
