Mahek Mody

About

An IIT Bombay Alum, Mahek has been making hardware products since 2006. While pursuing Mechanical Engineering, he began building race cars at IIT and was on the first team from India to participate in Formula SAE in Michigan, USA. On graduating in 2011, he began his career at Altair Engineering where he developed software that helped major European and Japanese automotive brands improve handling and durability of their vehicles. In 2015, Mahek joined as an early member of Ather Energy. Excited by the proposition of designing vehicles from scratch he joined as the Vehicle Engineering Lead, designing the industry leading hybrid chassis of the Ather 450 product line. At Ather, he moved through multiple roles including as a Product Manager, leading Program Management for the hardware development, localising the supply chain for the Ather 450 products, and leading the ERP management of Ather’s factories.
