Mark Friedman is the founder and Chairman of Accruent. By drawing upon a combination of strategic vision, technical ability and personal drive, Mark led Accruent from an initial bootstrapped idea into a global software company. Under his leadership as CEO from 1995 to early 2016, the company has grown to over 800 employees, is the 2nd largest software company in Austin, and has won numerous awards including a Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award as one of the Best Medium-Sized companies to work for - earning the rank of 31 among 250,000 companies nationally. Mark was honored with the 2016 Best CEO Legacy Award by the Austin Business Journal, was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014, and also as Vista Equity Partner’s Executive of the Year in 2013. In addition to serving on the board of directors at Accruent, Mark serves on the boards of Mitratech and The Access Group. Mark holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tulane University's School of Engineering.
