Mark joined Gobi in 2009. He is based in Shanghai and is responsible for legal aspects of Gobi’s investments, deal evaluations, and day-to-day operations management. Mark has over 18 years of experience as a tech company executive, lawyer, banker and venture investor in Asia and U.S. Prior to Gobi, Mark advised on transactions as a lawyer in Wall Street & Silicon Valley, and as an investment banker with Citigroup in Asia. He also drove products & businesses as a Microsoft executive in the Online Services and Licensing & Pricing divisions. Subsequently, he worked with startups on market entry, partnerships, monetization strategies, and M&A in the software, internet, consumer and mobile sectors. Mark received his B.A. with honors from Harvard, M.A. from Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of International & Public Affairs.
