Mark brings several decades of experience from Wall Street where he structured and financed tens of billions in infrastructure for cities, states and related agencies. Today, between urban tech fund investments and leadership at the URBAN-X accelerator, Mark collaborates with the Urban Us team to provide non-dilutive capital for early stage startups in urban tech. Before “urban tech” became synonymous with Urban Us, Mark Paris was Managing Director at Citi’s Municipal Markets Division and led Citi’s Urban Innovation Initiative. The Initiative focused on strategic investments and partnerships with emerging growth companies and organizations that address urban pain points. In addition to urban tech venture capital, Mark led several businesses at Citi, including municipal debt capital markets, derivatives origination and the higher education finance practice.
