Martin Kariuki has broad operational & management experience in Sales, Distribution & Marketing having worked in both Local & Multinational businesses in a number of countries. Before joining Fanisi, he served as Commercial Director at Sidai Africa (part of Farm Africa UK) where he was responsible for helping re-engineer the business’s franchising model as well as launching its own range of Sidai Branded Agricultural Inputs. Prior to Sidai, Martin had a long stint at Unilever where he joined as a Management Trainee in 2002 and rose up to Director Level in 2011 – first as Country Director responsible for Unilever in Tanzania and later as the Sales & Customer Development Director for the Kenyan Business. In between his Unilever Stint, Martin had a 2 year sabbatical break where he worked in Category Management at HJ Heinz Australia (2008-9).
