In the early days of the hackerspace era in 2010, exposure to Bitcoin cemented Matej's critical stance on future investments. Fast forward: the hackerspace evolved into a successful coworking space, which, after a decade, closed due to the COVID pandemic. Once the situation stabilized, he launched a new web3 coworking space in Bled, Slovenia, named SubWork. His primary focus is as the founder of KodaDot and as an investor in several Tier 1 funds, serving as a Limited Partner (LP) and an angel investor in a number of prominent stealth startups.
