Michael Buchbinder

Mr. Buchbinder is a Managing Director on the Private Equity team. In his role, he helps lead the Firm’s private equity investments in consumer and retail companies. Mr. Buchbinder currently serves on the Board of Directors of various Cerberus portfolio companies, including Electrical Components International and Off Lease Only. He is also closely involved in the Firm’s investment in Albertsons Companies. Prior to joining Cerberus in 2011, Mr. Buchbinder worked in the Restructuring Group at Rothschild, where he advised companies and creditors, both in and out of bankruptcy, on a variety of restructuring transactions. Prior to joining Rothschild, Mr. Buchbinder worked in the Financial Advisory Services Group at Houlihan Lokey in New York. Mr. Buchbinder graduated from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
