Michael Jansa is a Managing Director and Founding Partner of Emerging Capital Partners (ECP). Having raised over $2.5 billion for investment, ECP is a leading private equity manager focused exclusively on Africa. ECP has seven offices across Africa and over 15 years of investing experience, having made over 60 investments and 30 exits with operations in over 40 countries on the continent. As a Managing Director, Mr. Jansa manages existing Funds II and III investments through to exit and acts as a senior advisor to the investment team. Prior to joining ECP in 2000, Mr. Jansa was a Vice President of GE Capital’s Structured Finance Group, where his responsibilities included management of the firm’s $580 million investment fund focused on emerging market power investments. In this capacity, he analyzed, valued, and recommended various equity and debt investments and joint ventures in the energy sectors.
