Michael Knapp, Ph.D. is a scientist and successful entrepreneur who has worked with ARCH to build multiple companies. Most recently, he served as the first CEO and Chairman of Cambrios Technologies, an ARCH Venture Fund VI portfolio company and a leader in nanotechnology-based solutions to enable the development of electronic devices with transparent conductors. Prior to joining Cambrios, Dr. Knapp co-founded and was CEO of Caliper Life Sciences (CALP), originally known as Caliper Technologies, and played an integral role in the creation and development of the company. Dr. Knapp also co-founded Amphora Discovery, a chemical genomics company and spin-out from Caliper with independent funding and management. Before starting Caliper, Dr. Knapp served as President and Scientific Director at Molecular Tool, a genetics technology company that he co-founded.
