Michael Messersmith joined American Capital in 2005. Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. Messersmith practiced in the corporate group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Washington, D.C. where his practice focused on private equity, mergers & acquisitions, acquisition finance, corporate finance, fund formation and corporate governance.
