Michael Serruya has been in the franchising and consumer products business for over 26 years. In 1986, Michael Serruya and his brothers founded Yogen Früz® and have built the brand to over 1400 locations, with operations in over 42 countries around the world. Currently, Michael Serruya serves as the Chairman and CEO of Kahala Brands. Previously, he acted as President, CEO and Chairman of CoolBrands International Inc., until the time of the sale of the Company. As part of Mr. Serruya’s responsibilities, he oversaw and managed the manufacturing and frozen DSD (Direct Store Delivery) network. CoolBrands owned the second largest frozen dessert and novelties plant in the United States, as well as the second largest frozen DSD system in the country.
