As president of the Meals division, Michele Meyer has responsibility for overseeing business operations of five meal categories: Helper dinner mixes, Old El Paso Mexican products, Progresso soups and ingredients, and Betty Crocker side dishes. Previous to this role, she was appointed president of General Mills’ Small Planet Foods division in June 2007. With Small Planet, she was responsible for leading the marketing and business plans for Cascadian Farm and Muir Glen organic brands. Meyer also has served as vice president and marketing director in the Big G cereal division for strategic growth channels and adult cereal. She began her career at General Mills in 1988 in the Big G division and has since worked in various marketing and sales leadership positions throughout the company, including the Bakeries & Foodservice division, Shopper Marketing department, and Cereal Partners Worldwide – General Mills’ joint venture with Nestlé.
