Mika is the CEO and Co-founder of School Day, a tool for district leaders and teachers to proactively lead well-being in the classroom. Mika strongly believes well-being should be treated as the single most important mean to improve learning results – and that’s why his driving purpose is to build a better future for student welfare and social emotional learning (SEL). Since founding School Day in 2017, he has led the company in raising over $2M from leading Nordic VC’s including Lifeline Ventures and Sparkmind.vc and grown School Day adoption to 100k users in over 20 countries - including in 25 states in the US. Prior to founding School Day, Mika worked as a management consultant with both privately held companies and public sector organizations in strategy, leadership, and change management. Mika currently lives in Helsinki, Finland.
