Momo is a free location-based services instant messaging application that enables smartphone users to chat with people nearby. It allows users to connect with others in the same location and share free texts, audio notes, and photographs over the internet. The app helps users find like-minded people around them anywhere and anytime. Since its launch in August, 2011, Momo has since registered 80 million users after two years and three months. The number of daily active users is 13 million and the number of monthly active users is 39 million. An average of 500 million messages are generated daily during one-on-one conversations or group chatting.
