After studying Facility Management and working for a number of years in the temporary employment sector, Monique took the first steps in the field of archives and information provision in 1990. She did this as co-founder of Breddels & Vermeulen, agency for secondment and advice. Specialized in archive management for the national government and the business community, Breddels & Vermeulen grew into a large agency under the leadership of Monique. In 1998 Breddels & Vermeulen merged with ODRP, at the time a subsidiary of Ernst & Young, to form Doxis Information Managers. Monique was appointed partner of Ernst & Young in 2000 and took over as director of Doxis Information Managers.
