Munib Islam, age 41, has served as a director of Baxter since September 2015. Islam is a partner and the Head of Equities Research at Third Point LLC, a SEC-registered investment advisor headquartered in New York City. He also sits on Third Point’s Risk Committee. From 2008 to 2011, Islam was a managing director and portfolio manager of the Highbridge European Value Equities fund at Highbridge Capital. Islam first joined Third Point in 2004, after working as an associate at Oak Hill Capital and at Lazard LLC.
