Nicola Volpi

Nicola Volpi (born in 1961 in Milan) is an Italian entrepreneur and manager with a deep knowledge of financial matters and more than 25 years of experience in Private Equity. He has been Member of the Board of Directors of several companies. After graduating in Business Administration at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, he earned a Master in Finance at SDA Bocconi. His professional career started as a Financial Analyst at Sefimeta S.p.A. (Financial Services Department of Montedison Group). In 1987 he joined Sanpaolo Finance, the Investment Bank of San Paolo Group (now Banca Intesa). As Head of Leverage Finance until 1995, he structured the first buyouts ever in Italy.
