Nmachi Jidenma is a partner on the investment team at the venture capital firm General Catalyst, where she partners with exceptional founders to help build enduring companies. Prior to joining General Catalyst, Nmachi was a Senior Director at Sequoia Capital. Prior to Sequoia Capital, Nmachi was a strategy and business development lead at WhatsApp Inc, the world’s leader in mobile messaging with over 3 billion monthly users. In this role, she led WhatsApp’s strategy and business development efforts to drive monetization and build an ecosystem of business messaging partners worldwide building AI/ML, customer service and commerce tools on the WhatsApp Business platform. In addition, she led strategic alliances with WhatsApp's first set of business partners, developers and customers such as Netflix and Uber as well as partnerships with governments, nonprofits and United Nations agencies such as the World Health Organization to drive WhatsApp’s COVID-19 vaccine response and its long term
