Noam established Assif-Strategies in 2001 with the purpose of creating business value with environmental values - a mission that's remained relevant for more than a decade at the forefront of corporate environmental innovation. In 2008, Noam joined Greylock Partners Israel, a prominent venture capital firm, to develop its cleantech investment practice. Noam is currently a member of the boards of two portfolio companies: Panoramic Power and EnStorage. Previously, Noam co-founded two cleantech companies: Elysium Carbon, a developer of greenhouse gas assets and TransAlgae, an agricultural algae-biotech firm. Past positions include Executive Director of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and Director of Science at the Israel Union for Environmental Defense. Noam earned a Ph.D. at the Department of Environmental Science, Policy & Management, University of California at Berkeley and a B.Sc. Cum Laude in Soil & Water Sciences from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
