Mr. Meisner has worked for nine startups as VP of sales or VP of business development, yielding five acquisitions and one IPO. These have included Ungermann-Bass (IPO), Synernetics (acquired by 3Com), Net2Net (acquired by Visual Networks), Connected (acquired by Iron Mountain) and Authentica (acquired by EMC). He has been an angel investor since 1999 and has invested in 35 early stage companies, of which 5 have yielded substantial positive exits (including SmartCells acquired by Merck, Synchronoss, which had an IPO, and Softricity, acquired by Microsoft.) and 20 are still currently active in various stages. He is a member of Beacon Angels and the Launchpad Venture Group. He is on the advisory board of The Capital Network, and has been a board member or board observer at several companies, focusing on overall strategic planning and sales and partnering strategies.
