Olav Ostin

About

Olav is a Managing Partner of DFJ Esprit Secondaries and has been involved with the venture capital industry for the past 12 years. He has a particular focus on telecom and media industry and leads the firm’s presence in France, Germany, and the Nordic region. Olav has been involved with the acquisition of some of the largest European secondary direct venture portfolios, such as Viventures (14 assets), Siemens Mobile (25 assets), and WestLB (19 assets) portfolios. In 2006, Olav co-founded Tempo Capital Partners, a specialist direct secondary venture investment firm, when the venture division of Nova Capital Management Limited which Olav had co-led with David Tate since 2004 was de-merged to form Tempo. In February 2012, Tempo joined the DFJ Network to form DFJ Esprit Secondaries. Between 2000 and 2004, he was a Managing Director of the ETF Group, a venture capital firm, where he was responsible for sponsoring and managing all investments in the UK and the Nordic region.
