Paul McGuinness

Paul McGuinness is an angel investor. Mr. McGuinness served as an associate at 4th Level Ventures. He graduated from UCD with a B.Com in 1995 and then completed a Masters in Accountancy in 1996. He then qualified as an ACA with Arthur Andersen in Dublin working mainly in the Audit and Business Advisory department. On qualification in 1999, he moved to London and worked with Salomon Smith Barney in their Financial Institutions Group, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. In that role, he worked on some major UK transactions including the acquisition by Amvescap plc. of Perpetual plc. He also has significant experience in international M&A having worked on the disposal of Schroders Japan Limited to CSFB, the acquisition of Grand Pacific (a Taiwanese fund manager) by Amvescap plc. and ING's bid for a division of a major Japanese bank.
