Pavan A. Gupte

About

Mr Gupte is a Managing Director for Samena Capital Investments Limited, based in Mumbai. He has over twenty-two years of institutional experience investing in Global Emerging Markets and Europe. He was previously the Founder and Managing Partner of Bombay Central, a co-investment firm advising institutional clients on private market investments in India. He began his career with ICICI in Mumbai. In 1997 he went on to KBC Bank NV, where he helped build the representative office from two, to forty five employees, managing a loan portfolio of US$400 million. Mr Gupte went on to join Adams Street Partners in London, where he sat on the Global Investment Committee and was the Co-Head of Asia. In 2003, he joined Gartmore Private Equity, playing a significant role in the merger with Hermes GPE, creating a US$7 billion AUM, global private equity firm.
