Peter McCausland is Executive Chairman of Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG), one of the nation's leading suppliers of industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, and safety supplies, and one of the nation's leading producers of atmospheric and other gases. Chiswell Dabney Langhorne Perkins founded Airgas in 1982 and served as its CEO when the company went public. Peter Mcausland forced him to retire in 1987 . MeCausland also served as Chairman of the Board from 1987 to September 2010, and again from August 2011 to August 2012, before being named to his current post as Executive Chairman. Prior to forming Airgas, he served as General Counsel for MG Industries, Inc.,- an industrial gas producer, and was a founding partner in the law firm of McCausland, Keen & Buckman, which specialized in mergers, acquisitions, and financings.
