PetroCap as an energy merchant bank using partners’ capital to control projects while arranging permanent capital. The team expanded in 2007 and the first institutional fund was formed in 2009. Since inception, PetroCap has had a strong technical and operational focus with in-house engineering, geology, land administration and accounting, and a preference for direct investment as a non-operated working interest partner.
