Phil Hollingdale is co-founder of digital wealth company Smarterly who aim to turn the UK’s workforce into a nation of investors. Employers promote Smarterly as an employee benefit, to help people build healthy saving habits with the convenience of saving directly from their pay, often with a contribution boost from the employer as a more accessible complement to pensions. Smarterly use sophisticated algorithms to analyse over 1,000 funds, build ready-made portfolios and comparison tables and then automatically monitor each customer’s individual portfolio on a daily basis. This is Phil’s sixth start-up tech venture. He’s also an active investor and advisor in several businesses across different sectors including Fintech, Healthtech and the Gig Economy.
