It started in 2014. Not in classrooms. But in borrowed spaces, rooftops, corridors— wherever I could find an internet connection and someone willing to learn. I remember a school dropout. Under-resourced background, no laptop. Just a low-end smart phone and curiosity. But he learned faster than most Engineering graduates I had met. That’s where it started. Not the company. The feeling. Since then, I’ve built things—CodeKamp, DevsLane. But this story isn’t about them. It’s about CodeYogi. It started when my son was born. When I first held him, I asked myself what I was giving back. We began small— Live sessions with students in government schools, ITIs and polytechnics. Most didn’t have laptops. Some didn’t even have phones of their own. They borrowed their parents’— briefly, carefully— to chase a dream most people had already dismissed. And still— they learned. They kept showing up. One pilot turned into a movement. We built an AI chatbot that could teach code on mobile phones. I
